Clark Davis, Co-founder and Principal Engineer
Mr. Davis co-founded Coherex Medical in June, 2003. He received his BSME degree from the University of Utah in 1983 and a Masters Degree in mechanical engineering from MIT in 1985. He has over 20 years of experience as an electro-mechanical design engineer working on a wide range of leading edge projects ranging from robotics, microsystems, and factory automation to advanced medical devices. Mr. Davis was the principal designer of the MicroJect disposable IV pump which was acquired by Sorenson Medical. He also was a co-founder of Precision Vascular Systems and the principal designer of their breakthrough Synchro™ neurovascular guide wires and the automated micromachining technology upon which the company’s products are based. PVS was acquired by Boston Scientific in 2004 at a significant valuation. Mr. Davis holds more than 70 US patents in the areas of robotics, micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS), servomechanisms, and medical devices along with numerous foreign and pending patents.
