Daryl R. Edmiston

Vice President, Research and Development

Mr. Edmiston has an extensive background in engineering project management, medical device design, and state-of-the-art manufacturing processes. He has worked with leading companies in the electro-optics and semiconductor industries. As a private consultant, Mr. Edmiston advised various companies in the semiconductor and medical device manufacturing sector. He joined Rubicon Medical in 2000, serving as Director, and then Vice President of Research and Development. At Rubicon Medical, Mr. Edmiston was instrumental in the design and development of two separate embolic protection systems including Rubicon’s Guardian embolic protection system, which was licensed to Abbott Vascular and more recently, the Rubicon Filter embolic protection system for which Rubicon Medical was purchased by Boston Scientific in 2005. He joined Coherex Medical in March 2006. Mr. Edmiston received his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University and his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
